ACTHIV 2012 will be held in Denver, Colorado at the Sheraton Downtown Denver, May 10-12, 2012. The Program Committee of The American Conference for the Treatment of HIV (ACTHIV) invites any health professional who directly provides care to persons living with HIV, or who is part of a multidisciplinary team providing care for persons living with HIV, to submit a case discussions in HIV care and treatment for consideration in the poster program of this conference.

Case discussions can be in one of two forms:

  1. Individual HIV clinical cases
  2. HIV-related health care system improvement cases

Case discussion should be limited to less than 1,000 words and less than 2 pages, and may include 1-2 graphs, tables or pictures. Two or more references should be provided in each case discussion for further information for HIV clinicians and care givers.

Individual HIV clinical cases should be structured as follows:

  • Case presentation
  • Discussion and teaching points

Health care system improvement cases should related to HIV prevention, care and treatment, or support services, and should be structured as follows:

  • Background
  • Intervention
  • Discussion and lessons learning

The deadline for the submission of Case Discussions is February 1, 2012. Notification of acceptance will be made via email by March 15, 2012. Upon acceptance, case discussions must be put into a standard poster format for presentation during the ACTHIV meeting.

FORMAT GUIDELINES

  • It is preferred that all papers be submitted online. Submissions will also be accepted by fax (540-374-5298) or mail to ACTHIV, 15 Tally Ho Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22405
  • All papers must be submitted in English. Papers are limited to 1000 words.
  • You must identify your presenter and provide all contact information at the top of the submission page in the following format (not included in your 1000 words):
