Providers in Training Track
Objective: To offer a learning experience at ACTHIV that specifically targets providers who are in training or who are new to HIV medicine.
Methods: Match with mentors from the ACTHIV Planning Committee; Participation in several recommended Conference sessions; and Participation in a special case discussion session for providers in training led by mentors.
Target audience: 20-30 Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine and Family Medicine physicians, advance practice nurses, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, and case managers who are in training (i.e. fellows, residents, students) or who are in practice but are new to HIV medicine.
1) Each track participant must submit a case discussion (DUE: March 30, 2017)

2) Each track participant is encouraged to submit an abstract for poster presentation
(DUE: March 6, 2017 - special deadline extension for track participants)
3) The ACTHIV Providers in Training Track
In addition to the Plenary Sessions and General Sessions on Friday and Saturday, each resident/fellow is encouraged to attend the following sessions:
|*The Basics||Thursday - 8:45am - 12:00pm|
|*Resident Orientation||Thursday - 5:30pm - 6:30pm|
|*Breakfast Meetings||Friday and Saturday - 7:50am - 8:50am|
|*30 min. lunch with faculty advisor||Friday and Saturday - 12:30pm - 1:00pm|
|*Residents Case Discussion||Friday - 6:00pm - 8:00pm|
4) Track participant will be paired with one Planning Committee member
*Each faculty/participant pair will meet at 12:30pm - 1:00pm at lunch each day to review the talks and address questions.
*Selected faculty will lead a case-based discussion...AND DINNER...on Friday 6:00pm - 8:00pm in which small groups of participants would address 4-5 cases and report to the group.
